Create visually appealing and informative emails to captivate subscribers and drive action.
My role
As the art director, I creatively conceived and designed a consistent flow of emails to meet diverse business needs. Each email, while unique in its objective, adhered to Google Play's branding standards, ensuring a cohesive and user-friendly experience. These emails ranged from informative account updates to exciting new product feature announcements and curated content highlights.

PROJECT FEATURE
Promo emails for eBooks & Audiobooks
Many customers weren't finishing or downloading their purchased books on Google Play. To address this, I aimed to inspire and encourage reading by highlighting the benefits of using the platform.
After conducting informal research surveying friends and family “What motivates you to read?”, the reoccurring words people used to describe why they read were for entertainment and escapism. These insights inspired the creation of whimsical and playful animations to motivate users.
Climb mountains, clash swords with a knight, or feel the sea breeze on your face – all without moving an inch.
Ebook version for the reader
Audiobook email heroes designed for listeners on-the-go, including a separate version for customers in Japan inspired by Manga characters

At the start of the pandemic when people were advised to shelter in place, I designed this email for Google Play featuring apps to virtually explore beyond someone’s backyard.
I designed this playful character exploring outside for the hero, and small animations that animate subtly to introduce each app category.
